The first thought a person would think when they hear the words Harley Davidson are classy motor bikes. Harley Davidson is an American company which began in the year 1903. It was founded by William Harley, William Davidson, Walter Davidson and Arthur Davidson. Harley Davidson golf cart came into being in 1963. It gained popularity in quick time, although it was quite expensive at that time, it is one piece of machinery every golfer wanted in their arsenal at that time. But the &’Harley Davidson&’ company did not get to manufacture their Harley Davidson golf cart for long, as they sold the Harley Davidson golf cart manufacturing company to American Machine and Foundry Company (AMF) in 1969. During the present time, after a few companies buying and selling the Harley Davidson golf cart manufacturing company, it goes with the name &’Harley Davidson and Columbia golf carts&’.
The first Harley Davidson golf cart which came out in 1963 was three wheeled and was called the &’classic&’. Later in the 1970&’s the four wheeled models were put into the market. Both the three wheels and the four wheel model were outfitted with a 250cc engine and a dual cycle gas engine or an electric motor. It needs a 250 cc engine because almost every gold course has a hilly terrain; hence the golf cart needs enough engine power to carry the weight of the cart itself, the passengers and the metal golfing equipment.
Usually most of these Harley Davidson golf carts are owned by the country clubs. As most of the golfers do not own their own golf cart they are not found everywhere, but the more professional golfers and the golfers who are rich enough to buy their very own Harley Davidson golf carts to the course. Typically, a golfer usually reserves a golf cart a few days before he needs it, as the country clubs do not own enough golf carts to provide all the golfers with carts at one time.

Due to the small structure of the golf cart they are used to move and transport items inside large warehouses, airports, supermarkets and parking lots. Harley Davidson golf carts are also used to guard large areas of land, where security personnel can be found to move around using these carts.
In the modern day the old original &’classic&’ 1963 model Harley Davidson golf carts are bought by collectors from auctions after paying large amounts of money since there are only a few Harley &’classic&’ golfing carts available in driving condition.
