Better golf solutions is a mystery for the average golfer. Finding the magic bullet that&’s going to cure your game overnight isn&’t going to happen. In looking for better golf solutions, you&’ve got to think about what&’s the main reason you&’re not making a sound, repeatable golf swing that generates power and accuracy?

Common approaches to better golf solutions are taking more lessons; buying new golf equipment that will hopefully make up for your swing faults (such as offset/oversized drivers and irons); purchasing training aids that promise the world, but end up in your garage gathering dust or being sold on ebay; or going to the range with a new level of practice commitment.

The six million dollar question! Did it help? Are you happy with your results?

If the answer is yes&’congratulations on your success! If the answer is no, than what in the world is left? You&’ve done everything right?

I want you to think real hard for a second.

What one thing is critical in swinging a club, hitting the ball square and long, and producing results?

YOU!

You dictate your outcome!

Let me explain.

You body has a current level of physical capability. It is what it is. Whatever that level is, will be your outcome. No ifs, ands, or buts about it! You will never consistently play to what you think your potential is until you improve your &’physical capabilities&’!

If golfers knew this little secret, they&’d save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars a year on lessons, gimmicky training aids, equipment and range fees.

You are an athlete! A golf athlete! You&’ve got to &’prepare your body to perform&’.

What other athletic event do you know of where the athlete just shows up without working on his/her physical attributes?

None!

I hate to be so blunt, but it is a fact. Only until you realize this, and take it to heart will you achieve your golfing goals. Your BODY determines your outcome. Your BODY makes your golf swing. Your BODY physically plays for 18 holes. Your BODY dictates your confidence. I hope you&’re getting the point here.

I can&’t say this strong enough!

Take the approach like an athlete and you will never have to think of better golf solutions.

Many of us recall old movie images of golfers in plaid pants, sweater vests, billed caps, and other stereotypical apparel of golfing lore. While clothing on golf courses has changed over the years, proper golf apparel is still expected. And the greater the prestige of the golf club, the greater the expectation you will abide by their dress code.

Most clubs and courses, even the public ones, require that golfers follow a dress code. The most common rule is the collared shirt. Many courses require long pants, not jeans, and golf shoes.

5 Minutes Early Is Late

When it comes to actually starting your game, the primary rule of etiquette is to show up on schedule for your tee time. That means you will have already done everything else in preparation for the start of the golf game. You’ll need time to park your car, warm up, practice, buy balls, change, and pick up a cart. Being early is a matter of consideration for others.

Leave Cell Phones In The Real World

The exclusion of cell phones from golf apparel is another common courtesy on the links. Cell phones should be left in your car or locker. If you do need to bring 1 onto the course for emergencies, keep it turned off.

When you’re on the course, you’ll need to understand how the other golfers in your group want to play. Some let the best score tee off on the next hole, while others let whoever is ready tee off first. You can offend players by not following their rules, even if their rules are, from your perspective, wrong.

Time-Honored Conventions Make Golfing Unique

An obsession with quiet is another characteristic for which golfers are known. Like most traditions, this one is based on necessity. When your object is to hit a small object with a long pole, you need all of your concentration.

Even when golfing with friends, respect the fundamental rule of keeping quiet during shots, and standing out of the direct line of vision.

Today’s golfing rules of etiquette can seem archaic — a throwback to days of old. They harken back to a slower paced time when consideration for others was perhaps easier. In the 21st century, golfing provides us a time away from the bustle of everyday living. Though golf is highly competitive, it is, nonetheless, a gentleman’s — and gentlewoman’s — game.

Golf is one of the most widely played sports in the world, and is enjoyed by millions. It allows you to get outside and get some fresh air and sun, while playing a game that requires lots of skill and prowess. When you start golfing, you will need some clubs to bring along with you. There are 14 clubs in a true set, but to start off with you only need about half of these. There are three main types of clubs, and these are irons, woods, and putters. By buying the right combination of these, you can be set for an entire game. However, to call them &’cheap&’ would be an utter lie. Golf clubs are very expensive. If you are not sure whether you are going to stick with the sport or not, it is probably a good idea to start with used golf clubs or otherwise cheap golf clubs.

Imagine all of the more hardcore golfers, and what their new equipment looks like. They probably replaced some perfectly good clubs just a few months ago in order to get the new and the best clubs. Few people really need this level of commitment to buying the new golf clubs all of the time, so you don&’t need to hold yourself to the same standards that they do. Instead, you can take advantage of their constant turnover rate of golf clubs. Just talk to one of these hardcore golfers, and find out about their old golf clubs. You may find out that they have dozens of old golf club sets stored away in their garage. You can either ask to borrow them for a long period of time, or simply buy them. You may find that they are happy to let you have the old golf clubs.

If you aren&’t fortunate enough to have this kind of contact, you can look in other venues for used golf clubs. Many golf club stores stock used clubs in their inventory at a highly discounted rate. However, oftentimes this is more expensive than the other choices. Look on eBay to find out the selling rates for the used golf clubs that you are wanting to buy. You may also be able to find golf clubs at yard sales, in classifieds listings, or on web sites like CraigsList.com. It is best to check all of these places before you buy golf clubs. You may find it one place for hundreds of dollars cheaper than it is at the other place.

Golf can be very hard on golf clubs, especially if you are a beginner with a penchant for smacking the ground with your club. If you buy new clubs and abuse them so thoroughly, you will likely be kicking yourself wishing that you hadn&’t spent so much money on them. This is another reason why it is good to stick with used clubs. When you break them, scuff them, or lose them, you won&’t feel too bad about it. You will find that many seasoned golf veterans are huge advocates of purchasing used clubs. If you buy used clubs rather than new clubs, you will likely have a much happier experience overall. Just be sure to buy your used golf clubs from somewhere that you can trust.
